Hallmarked Sheffield 1880 Salt Cellar

Made by Charles Edward Nixon in Sheffield England. His initials are in a sheild near the hallmark and also on the one side. There is a sheild on another side meant for, but NOT monogrammed. It is 1 7/16” square & 13/16” tall including the 4 ball feet & weighs 26.18 grams. The bowl is unique as it is an inverted pyramid shape.
The hallmark indicates it is made in Sheffield of sterling in 1880 and the Duty mark is Queen Victoria. Very good condition considering it is 140 years old! Doesn’t look like it was used for salt at all!
